Lilly Software and Tompkins Associates Announce Strategic Supply Chain Execution Alliance
22 December 99, Hampton, NH and Raleigh, NC, - Lilly Software Associates, a leading provider of supply chain management solutions, and Tompkins Associates, one of the industry's most respected Total Operations consulting and implementation firms have formed a strategic alliance agreement. The partnership will complement and extend Lilly's current support services portfolio to encompass wholesale distribution consulting and implementation services as well as Business Process and Operation consulting for mid-sized manufacturers and distributors.
By this alliance, Lilly Software strengthens its ability to serve the wholesale distribution marketplace with its VISUAL Distribution™ suite of products. Lilly Software's VISUAL Distribution™ is an end-to-end Supply Chain Management solution for the wholesale distributor, including Internet-based Order Management at the front end with complete integration through front office (ERP) operations, all the way through to the distribution center with a warehouse management system (VISUAL DCMS™). Lilly believes that the Tompkins alliance provides Lilly an immediate and comprehensive supply chain solution implementation capability.
In turn, Tompkins broadens its position in the market as a business and operations consulting firm in the manufacturing sector by cooperatively implementing Lilly's VISUAL Manufacturing® product, which is a world-class ERP solution for make-to-order, make-to-stock and mixed-mode manufacturers.
