VISUAL Quality meets Auto, Aerospace, Medical, Other Quality System Requirements
9 November 99, Hampton, NH - Lilly Software Associates has issued a broad statement of quality standard compliance for its VISUAL Quality® product. The VISUAL Quality suite was designed to assist companies in obtaining ISO/QS 9000 and other compliance certifications, "But after comparison with specific industry requirements, we find that VISUAL Quality meets a good deal more than those two generic requirements," said Heather Driscoll, Lilly Software's VISUAL Quality Product Manager.
Lilly Software announces that the VISUAL Quality suite meets or exceeds the requirements of:
- ISO9001 - Generic Industry standards
- QS-9000 - Automotive Industry
- AS9000 - Aerospace Industry
- D1-9000 - Boeing Commercial Airplane Group
- Both Basic and Advanced Quality System Requirements
- ISO14001 - International Environmental Management
- TL9000 - Telecommunication Industry
- QSR - FDA Medical Device
"This is an unusually broad scope for a single quality software," said Driscoll, "And we achieved that by aiming high from the very beginning. VISUAL Quality was designed around business performance management, not around one particular standard like ISO as a lot of quality software is. Business performance management applies to all industries, and it is not a minimum standard. It demands such things as advanced quality planning, pre-production part approval, and statistical process control."

- MS-9000 - Ford Materials Management System Requirements (they consider an ad on to QS 9000).
