Litton Airtron Chooses Lilly Software for Extended ERP Solution
05 May 2000, Hampton, NH (USA) - Litton Airtron, a division of Litton Systems, Inc., with headquarters in Morris Plains, New Jersey, recently purchased an extended ERP solution from Lilly Software Associates (LSA) that includes VISUAL Quality® and a 100-user license for VISUAL Manufacturing®.
Litton Airtron consists of several groups that produce electronic materials for the semiconductor industry; microwave components for defense and commercial applications; and optical materials and components for laser-based medical, industrial, and commercial applications.
“One of the biggest reasons for choosing Lilly Software as its vendor,” explains Mike Gram, an LSA Strategic Accounts manager who helped Litton decide on its VISUAL solution, “was the need for an integrated manufacturing system that could be implemented quickly, giving them a competitive advantage in each of their markets. Litton Airtron could not afford the lengthy, costly implementation often associated with more complicated ERP systems.”

VISUAL’s ability to manage Litton’s various business models, both process-oriented manufacturing and discrete manufacturing, was another reason the company chose Lilly Software as its solutions vendor.
