Lilly Software Adds Interface to Costimator®
4 May, 1999, Hampton, NH - Lilly Software Associates has announced a new seamless interface between the company's VISUAL Manufacturing® ERP system, and Costimator®, a computer-aided cost-estimating system from Manufacturers Technologies, Inc. (MTI) of West Springfield, Mass.
"This means a leap in technology and ease of use for VISUAL Manufacturing users," said Lilly Software Product Marketing Manager John Argue. "A number of our users wanted the precision in scheduling that VISUAL provides, but also the precision in estimating of systems like Costimator. This interface closes the loop between the two."
While most ERP users need estimates based only on setup and run times, many manufacturers require estimates based on additional detail, such as the gage of steel for a given job. The Costimator export feature downloads cycle times, labor times and rates, part costs, outside vendor costs and other up-to-date data on any job from the estimating system to Lilly's VISUAL Manufacturing.
