United States Patent Obtained by Lilly Software Associates
Patent awarded for VISUAL Manufacturing® software system's concurrent scheduling

1 September 1998, Hampton, NH - Lilly Software Associates, Inc., providers of fully integrated Supply Chain Management software, announces the issuance of a United States patent for software that concurrently schedules both materials and resources. Lilly Software brings to market the first patented software that enables organizations to determine the availability of both materials and resources concurrently.
U.S. Patent No. 5,787,000 was issued on July 28, 1998, and is entitled, "Method and Apparatus for Scheduling Work Orders in a Manufacturing Process." The
patent describes Lilly Software Associates' computerized method for scheduling multiple work orders for manufacturing products. The method enables concurrent
scheduling of materials and resources to process work orders. This patent is a breakthrough for Lilly Software, as well as for the manufacturing software industry. "The implications for scheduling and ERP vendors that tout similar capability remains unclear."
